Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IGCSE Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in delivering a high-quality learning experience for our students. The successful candidate will work closely with the lead teacher to help manage the classroom, provide individual and small-group support to students, and contribute to the overall academic success of the IGCSE program. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in preparing and setting up the classroom for lessons, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Student Assistance: Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students who need extra help with their assignments, classwork, or understanding specific concepts.
Administrative Tasks: Help with administrative duties such as taking attendance, preparing teaching materials, photocopying, and organizing student work.
Assessment Support: Assist in marking homework and classwork under the guidance of the lead teacher, and help monitor student progress.
Exam Preparation: Support the lead teacher in preparing students for their IGCSE exams by helping with revision sessions and exam-related tasks.
Behavioral Support: Help manage student behavior and ensure all students are engaged and on task.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other staff members, participating in departmental and school meetings as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students learn.
